Maya and I have been at a mad dash last Friday, buying up supplies and raw materials for the dolls and doll clothes to fill the etsy shops with.

So after an afternoon ordeal of wading through an ocean of people at Divisoria, we passed by our favorite restaurant on our way home.

Maya: Where’s the waiter? I’m hungry!

Maya: Maybe I should go fetch him myself. I’m so hungry I could eat these flowers painted on the table and windows!

Maya: Finally, something to drink at least. Where’s the straw?

Maya: Yay! The food’s here. Now will you put down that camera so we can start eating now, please!

Yesterday I spend the afternoon washing the fabric we bought…

and then I organized my fabric stash. Here’s some of them…

I’ve tied up and tagged some of them to be cut and made into jeans, jackets, skirts, dresses, and bags for dolls…

Okay, now off on errands to get materials for a light box and pickup an orphan.

Hi everyone.

I’ve been working on Nahh-aahto’s face up to make her a self-p doll.

It wasn’t as easy as I thought. Or should I say it was more complicated than I thought?

First issue was the head was made of vinyl instead of resin which the other pullip doll’s head are made off. So this means its more prone to disasters during the sanding phase.

I’ve had to re-do the whole thing 5 times before I came up with an acceptable result.

At one point I just wanted to find a replacement head but that’s not possible because that would mean buying a new doll. Agh!

After much agonizing I settled for…

I cut down my old reading glasses and adjusted it to fit her. Thanks to my trusty old dremmel stylus and John who gave it to me for Christmas.

Does she look like me yet?

I’m not closing the door yet on this though. I may or may not tinker with her face again. I just need to let my nerves recover from all the stress then I can be calm enough to make an objective decision. LOL!

So I’m off to other mollying for now.

My tow other Pullip dolls arrived yesterday. I was happy and relieved to pick them up from the post office.

My laptop wouldn’t turn on yesterday. I had more time to sew because of that and only got it repaired today.

Sewing helped steady my nerves from fraying the last two days. I never realized how dependent I am on my computer. Its like my gateway to the world and I felt isolated without it.

I’ve gotten a jump start on sewing stuff I wanted to do so its turned out for the better.

Hi everyone. I finished making the doll carrier for Taeyang dolls

Here are details shots of the closure…

Available in my etsy shop now.

Its the same basic construction as The Cocoon (TM) for Pullips/ Blythes or Dal dolls but longer in length to accommodate the longer legs of the Taeyang dolls.

Now the boys don’t have to be wrapped in towel anymore. You can now carry them in the safety of The Cocoon without worrying about protecting their precious limbs.

After finishing the lining of the cheap coffin shaped bag and turning it into a doll carrier bag, I realized that the straps and ties aren’t enough to protect the dolls from the wear and tear of being transported around in such a flimsy bag. I decided to make a cocoon sleeping bag type carrier to address this issue.

I never realized what an enormous task it is to make a sleeping bag. That I was making it at 1/6th scale made it even more difficult.

First there was the zipper installation. It has always been my least favorite task in sewing but I was determine to finishing what I started so I pressed on. After I turned out the pieces I realized I had sewn it wrong side out. I agonized whether I was going to re-do it or abandon production. I decided to finish it and figure out the solution later.

Zipping it closed wasn’t much of an issue. Unzipping it was. I needed a way to be able to unzip it once its closed. Here’s the solution I cam up with. I installed a grommet on the other end of the zipper and strung the zipper pull with string so it could be pulled open from the outside. It worked! Here it is after hours of figuring out how to zip and unzip it.

Now I can carry my dolls using any bag that was big enough. I won’t need to bring the coffin bag when I’m only bringing one doll.

I made two more today. Here they are ready to go on my etsy shop…

I had my first doll meet tonight. I’m still waiting for the photos. I forgot to bring my camera so Joanna took photos and will send me some.

I also bought Oona an orange wig. Chayenne made it and put it on her tonight.

Here’s she is excited to model it when we got home…

I think I’ll keep her hair this way. The shade matches her eyebrows and her eyeliner color.

I’ve been sewing today.

but I managed to finish the outfit anyway.

I found this bag unlined and cheap in Divisoria. So I made this lining, reinforced it with card stock and straps.
